I have given here description about how to chat in marathi language. Now you can chat in your own marathi language just follow the simple steps given below :-
For chatting in marathi language you need to download Gist Unicode Typing Tool of C-DAC.
Using this tips you can only chat in mozilla firefox browser orkut, facebook chatbox and on any messanger like g-talk,yahoo messanger.
For typing there are three marathi keyboards are available :
1. Indiscript
2. Typewriter
3. Phonetic
1] Indiscript Marathi:
It is devnagari / marathi typing keyboard layout created by C-DAC on computer.
2] Typewriter Marathi:
It is the keyboard layout of the devnagari / marathi typewriter machine. If you have ever heared about 'krishna', 'krutidev' font, so this keyboard layout is used for that.
3] Phonetic Marathi:
It is a keyboard layout which types in marathi / devnagari by providing it english spelling of the marathi words (minglish).
Seript key :
To activate devnagari typing tool, you have three options :- CappsLock, NumLock & ScrollLock.
You can choose anyone of these. Now when you have to type in devnagari, just press the button you have choosen from above.

Keyboard layout :
Now unzip the file you have downloaded i.e. otr_driv.zip .
Now double click on setup.exe file in it.
Now installation will start and when it will complete, then restart your computer.
Now open your notepad and then go to here :-
start>>programmes>>GIST-OT-typing tool>>gist-OT-typing tool
Now choose the keyboard layout and script key you want and then activate or press the script key (CapsLock/NumLock/ScrollLock).
Now type in notepad.
It will type in devnagari / marathi language.
Tip : If it is not getting type in devnagari then insert a disc of windows of which version you are using into your computer, then go to control panel.
Select regional and language option.
Then a dialog box will open.
Select languages tab.
Then select on install files for east asian languages and click on OK.
Now when it finishes, restart your computer.
Now finally you can type in marathi.
